Implications of Customer Relationship Management

Demonetization and GST implementation are Two critical economic disruptions has shaken up the economy and pushed us towards the digital economic reforms. Demonetization wiped out 86 % value of currency notes in circulation and pushed people towards the cashless facility and digital payments and more than 1 billion participated in this system voluntarily. This opened up new avenues for other systems and business to connect with people on a day to day level in a more personalised way. GST implementation moved the business from manual paperwork transaction of filing of tax return and paper submission to e-filing of tax returns and presentation of the necessary paperwork in digital form.

The much-needed boost to India’s digital infrastructure is here with citizens moving to the mobile payment system for day to day transactions and business moving to e-paper system where transactions are digitised, and database maintained.

Businesses need information on their fingertips to take the decision. One cannot wait to go back to the office or open up a laptop to get the information. That is too much cumbersome. Here mobile apps come into the picture. Every company fuses CRM technology and mobile technology to generate mobile app. The benefits of which are personalised content delivery.

Today's customers are much more difficult than in the past to please. They don't need business to sell them, instead what they need is the tool to keep them engaged. They want to voice out their opinion and in expect feedback in response to it. The fact can be stressed upon more as more and more companies look after the number of unique visitors to their mobile apps, their social media following through Facebook like, twitter followers and Instagram views. Customers don't buy products but the brand experience along with it.
